Dr António HS Delgado

ANTÓNIO HS DELGADO DDS, PhD, AFHEA

António HS Delgado is an Auxilliary Professor (Lecturer) at Instituto Universitário Egas Moniz in Almada, Portugal. He teaches Dental Materials and Operative Dentistry to undergraduates, while also taking part as an Integrated Member of the Centro de Investigação Interdisciplinar Egas Moniz (CiiEM) research center. Antonio holds his MSc in Dentistry from IUEM (PT) and his PhD from The Eastman Dental Institute, UCL, London (UK).

António’s research focuses on the development of breakthrough experimental composites with modified chemistry. He has been awarded 3 international prizes in the last 2 years, including the IAAD Fusayama Scientist Award, for his research work on self-adhesive composites. Antonio has more than 16 full-text papers published and over 33 poster/oral communications, in the last 4 years, given in countries across Europe, Asia, North and South America. He currently serves as a CED-IADR Young Board Ambassador for Portugal.
