Dr. Richard Steffen

Richard Steffen has been an enthusiastic paediatric dentist for over 30 years. He worked with passion in school dental clinics and in private practice, for 16 years as a senior physician/senior lecturer in paediatric dentistry at the University of Zurich and for several years as Assistant Professor at the UZB Basel. In the EAPD (European Academy Paediatric Dentistry) and SVK (Swiss Association of Paediatric Dentistry) he does basic work and creates training structures for young colleagues. His research interests are also his passions: Anxiety and pain control, oral medicine in children and adolescents, dental structural disorders and special endodontic problems in children. In his research area on MIH (Molar Incisive Hypomineralisation), all these passions come together to find solutions.
